Well lets see, to introduce myself to the group, I’ve been riding steady for the past 9 years after selling my first bike 25 years ago when the kids were young.

I seriously believe that if I didn’t live in the Snow Belt I wouldn’t own a car. Anything above 50 degrees is riding weather, and anything above 40 degrees is close enough riding weather (as long as the snow and ice are gone).

I’ve slowly moved up from a 1978 Honda CB125S, to a Honda CB750F, then a big V-Twin – Suzuki Intruder 1500, and now a touring bike (BMW K1200LT). Last spring my wife and I took the BMW out to Arizona and New Mexico. Great trip, three weeks of sites, back roads, good people and good times.

This year were heading to Sturgis for the first time, so if anyone has been before and has the inside word on things, we’d be willing listeners. We’ve been to Sturgis, SD before, but not during bike week.

A few years ago my daughter and I went Copper Harbor for desert! Two days going up and back home in one. Kinda silly but we’ll never forget the trip. Bottom line when the mood sets in, the why your going doesn’t matter.
