Just a little note about myself,
I was raised in the Wayne, Westland area most of my life, I started riding motorcycles around the age of 10 with the usual minibike, go-cart thing, and then  moved on to dirt bikes, you know, yz80’s 125’s. My first motorcycle was a 1969 Yamaha 185 enduro style bike that was kept at a friend’s house because my mom and dad would not allow me to own one of my own, my dad had a tendency of wreaking everything he got on, usually because he was drinking (one reason I don’t drink and ride). I joined the military right out of high school and went straight to Germany where I spent 3 ½ years. While I was there I bought my first new motorcycle, a 1985 Honda cbx750f (rc51). Now that was a fun ride, did the Alps, autobahn, all over the place, man that was some good times. I got out of the military after about 10 ½ years and moved back to Michigan. After a stint without a ride I had to get something so I bought a slightly over used 1987 Kawasaki zx600, decent bike but like I said slightly overused. Got tired of working on it so I traded it for some cash and an 1987 Honda 250r quad. Once again after too much money but lots of fun it was time for a real ride to cure the aching in my loins, so I bought my 2nd new bike which I ride today, a 2005 Honda ST-1300a. once again after spending more money on the new ride than most of my cars have cost me, it was time to put on some creature comforts, cruise, radio, trunk, highway pegs, the usual stuff now I’ve gone and bought a little trailer to put behind the ride to carry more gear. You know, have wife, have gear, if you know what I mean. As of January of 08 I have put on around 29,000 miles on the ST and if I have my way I will double that in 08, (well wishful thinking). Anyway, I am always ready to go for a ride and my wife and I really enjoy taking long trips. This year (2008) we are planning on going down to Florida for a family reunion and basically spending about 1 ½ weeks just screwing off. We also have a few weekend trips we have talked about but we will have to see if time and money allows.

As always: ride safe, ride fun
