First rule is, it is the discretion of the ride leader weather we continue or not. So if you are not sure about a scheduled event, please don't call me, call the designated leader. That said, the following general practices will apply:
If there are severe weather warnings at the time of the scheduled ride the ride is canceled.
If it is raining at the time of the ride and the forecast is continued rain the ride is canceled.
If the weather is unsettled, and there are or may be light sprinkles it is up to the leader, however the leader should appear at the meeting place (perhaps in a car, if necessary) to meet any who may show up.
If rain is predicted for later in the evening but it is not raining at the time of the ride, likely we will try it, though the ride may be shortened.
Again, these are general practices, not rules, and the decision is up to the designated leader.
